Community Guidelines

Last updated: 2026-09-18

1. What Our Community Is

The BEIYA community is a space for bead craft enthusiasts to share patterns, exchange color-matching tips, and discuss creative work. Whether you just started or have completed dozens of large pieces, you are welcome to show and share here.

2. Content We Encourage

Original pixel art designs; patterns generated from personal photos (self, family, pets); color schemes and color substitution experience; techniques for large multi-board projects; lessons learned and material sourcing advice; finished works and process documentation.

3. Prohibited Content

Sexual, violent, gambling, or drug-related content; insults, defamation, or discriminatory speech; unauthorized commercial asset packs of anime, film, or game IP; unauthorized use of others' likenesses; advertising, traffic diversion, or review manipulation; any content violating the laws of the People's Republic of China.

4. Important Note on Pattern Copyright

Bead patterns frequently involve third-party IP. Note that anime characters, film characters, game characters, and celebrity likenesses are protected by copyright and portrait rights. Pixelation does not change the infringement analysis — if a design remains recognizable as an original character, unauthorized commercial sale carries infringement risk.

5. Sharing Recommendations

We recommend sharing original designs and personal photo projects. If your pattern draws on someone else's work, credit the inspiration. Do not republish others' paid patterns for free. Private exchange among hobbyists and commercial use are different matters: the former carries lower risk, while the latter requires authorization.

6. Attribution and Reposting

When reposting patterns shared by others, credit the original author and source. Authors are encouraged to keep their signature watermark when publishing. If your work is republished under someone else's name, report it through our channels and we will assist.

7. Interaction Etiquette

Communicate politely and respect creators at all skill levels. Constructive suggestions are welcome; belittling, mocking, or personal attacks are not. When newcomers ask questions, please answer patiently — everyone was once a beginner.

8. Enforcement

For content violating these guidelines, we may take measures proportionate to the severity: content removal, warning, posting restriction, account suspension, or permanent ban. Unlawful content will be handled in cooperation with relevant authorities as required by law.

9. Reporting

To report violating content or infringement, contact: beiyapd@gmail.com. Please include content links, a description of the issue, and any supporting documentation. We will review and act accordingly.
